For the Layers

  • 24 ladyfinger cookies
  • 1½ cups strong brewed coffee or espresso, cooled

  • Cocoa powder
  • Ground cinnamon
  • Crushed gingerbread cookies
  • Whipped cream (optional)

Instructions
 

Prepare the Cream Mixture

  • In a large bowl, beat mascarpone cheese until smooth.Add powdered sugar, vanilla extract, molasses, ginger, cinnamon, and nutmeg.Mix until fully combined.

Whip the Cream

  • In a separate bowl, whip heavy cream until stiff peaks form.Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture.Set aside.

Prepare the Coffee

  • Brew strong coffee or espresso.Allow it to cool completely.
  • Allow it to cool completely.

Assemble the Tiramisu

  • Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the cooled coffee.Arrange a layer of soaked ladyfingers in a serving dish.Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the cookies.Repeat with another layer of soaked ladyfingers.Finish with the remaining mascarpone mixture.

Chill

  • Cover the dish with plastic wrap.Refrigerate for at least 6 hours or overnight.

Garnish and Serve

  • Dust the top with cocoa powder and cinnamon.Sprinkle crushed gingerbread cookies over the surface.Add whipped cream if desired.Slice and serve chilled.
