Ingredients
  

  • 1 large French baguette or Italian bread loaf, sliced lengthwise
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 4 garlic cloves, finely minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the grill to Medium Heat (375–400°F / 190–200°C).
  • In a medium bowl, combine the softened butter, olive oil, minced garlic, parsley, Italian seasoning, salt, black pepper, and Parmesan cheese (if using).
  • Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over the cut sides of the bread.
  • Place the bread on the grill with the buttered side facing up. Close the lid and cook for 2–3 minutes.
  • Carefully flip the bread so the buttered side faces down. Grill for another 2–3 minutes until golden brown with light grill marks.
  • Remove the bread from the grill and allow it to cool for 1–2 minutes.
  • Slice into serving pieces and garnish with additional parsley, Parmesan cheese, or red pepper flakes if desired.
  • Serve warm with your favorite main dishes.
