Ingredients
  

  • 500 g ground beef
  • 1 cup rice (uncooked)
  • 2 cups beef broth or water
  • 1 medium onion (chopped)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon oil or butter
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • Salt to taste

Instructions
 

  • Heat oil in a large pan or pot over medium heat.
  • Add onion and garlic; sauté until fragrant.
  • Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
  • Stir in rice, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • Pour in broth, mix well, and bring to a boil.
  • Cover and simmer for 15–18 minutes until rice is cooked.
  • Reduce heat and stir in cheese until melted and creamy.

Notes

  • Use long-grain rice for best texture.
  • Cheddar gives the best flavour, but any melting cheese works.
  • Adjust liquid if rice needs more cooking time.
