Cuisine American
- 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend for best juiciness)
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp olive oil (for cooking)
- 4 hamburger buns
- Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, cheese, ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise
In a bowl, mix the ground beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce.
Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape them into patties, slightly larger than the buns.
Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat and brush with olive oil.
Cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes per side for medium doneness, flipping once.
If adding cheese, place a slice on each patty during the last minute of cooking and cover to melt.
Toast the hamburger buns lightly on the grill or pan for extra flavor.
Assemble the burgers with your preferred toppings and serve immediately.
-
Avoid pressing down on the patties while cooking to retain juiciness.
-
For extra flavor, mix finely chopped onions or shredded cheese into the beef mixture.
-
Let the cooked patties rest for a few minutes before serving to keep them juicy.
