Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend for best juiciness)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (for cooking)
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, cheese, ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise

Instructions

  • In a bowl, mix the ground beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce.
  • Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape them into patties, slightly larger than the buns.
  • Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat and brush with olive oil.
  • Cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes per side for medium doneness, flipping once.
  • If adding cheese, place a slice on each patty during the last minute of cooking and cover to melt.
  • Toast the hamburger buns lightly on the grill or pan for extra flavor.
  • Assemble the burgers with your preferred toppings and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Avoid pressing down on the patties while cooking to retain juiciness.
  • For extra flavor, mix finely chopped onions or shredded cheese into the beef mixture.
  • Let the cooked patties rest for a few minutes before serving to keep them juicy.
