Ingredients

  • 1 cup used or fresh coffee grounds
  • 2 cup vodka or rum
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar (brown or white)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon (optional, for extra warmth)

Instructions

Prepare the Coffee Infusion:

  • In a clean glass jar, combine the coffee grounds and vodka.
  • Seal the jar and let it sit at room temperature for 3-7 days, shaking gently once a day.

Strain the Coffee Mixture:

  • After the infusion period, strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve or coffee filter to remove the grounds.

Make the Sweet Syrup:

  • In a saucepan, heat the water and sugar over low heat until dissolved. Let it cool completely.

Combine Ingredients:

  • Mix the strained coffee-infused vodka with the cooled syrup.
  • Add vanilla extract and cinnamon (if using), then stir well.

Bottle & Store:

  • Pour the liqueur into a clean bottle and let it sit for at least 24 hours to develop the flavors.

Serve & Enjoy:

  • Use in cocktails, serve over ice, or drizzle over desserts.

Notes

  • Store in a sealed bottle in a cool, dark place for up to 6 months.
  • Shake before serving as some sediment may settle.
  • The longer the infusion, the stronger the coffee flavor.
