Homemade Cranberry Bacon Jam Recipe

- 1 lb bacon, chopped
- 1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries
- 1 large onion, finely diced
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp salt
In a large skillet, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove bacon and drain excess grease, leaving about 2 tablespoons in the pan.
Add the diced onion to the pan and cook until soft and caramelized, about 10 minutes.
Stir in the cranberries, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, maple syrup, and balsamic vinegar.
Return the cooked bacon to the pan and mix well.
Simmer on low heat for 20-25 minutes until the mixture thickens and the cranberries break down.
Season with black pepper and salt to taste.
Let the jam cool slightly before transferring to a jar. Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
