This homemade garlic bread is crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and packed with buttery garlic flavor. Perfect as a side for pasta, soups, or any meal!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 loaf French or Italian bread
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp dried oregano or parsley
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Cut the bread loaf in half lengthwise.
  • In a bowl, mix melted butter, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and dried oregano.
  • Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over both halves of the bread.
  • Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top (if using).
  • Place the bread halves on a baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes until golden and crispy.
  • Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh parsley, and slice into servings.
  • Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • For extra crunch, broil for an additional 1-2 minutes after baking.
  • Substitute fresh herbs for dried ones for an enhanced flavor.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container and reheat in the oven for best results.
