Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard (optional)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Lemon slices and parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking tray with parchment paper or foil.
  • Make the glaze. In a small bowl, whisk honey, soy sauce, olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, and mustard until smooth.
  • Prepare the salmon. Pat the fillets dry and place them skin-side down on the tray. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
  • Brush with glaze. Coat each fillet generously with the honey mixture.
  • Bake the salmon. Place in the oven and bake for 15–18 minutes or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
  • Broil for caramelization. For a golden glaze, broil the salmon for 2 minutes at the end of baking.
  • Garnish and serve. Top with lemon slices and fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Use wild-caught salmon for a richer, more natural flavor.
  • Avoid overbaking to keep the salmon moist.
  • Substitute maple syrup for honey for a different twist.
  • Add crushed red pepper flakes for a hint of heat.
  • Pair with roasted potatoes or steamed veggies for balance.
