- 1 fully cooked bone-in ham (3–4 kg / 6–8 lb)
- ¾ cup honey
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon ground cloves
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
Preheat the oven to 165°C (325°F).
Place the ham on a rack in a roasting pan, cut side down.
Score the surface of the ham in a diamond pattern; insert whole cloves if desired.
In a saucepan, melt butter over low heat and stir in honey, brown sugar, mustard, spices, and juice.
Brush the glaze generously over the ham.
Cover loosely with foil and bake for about 1 hour, basting every 20 minutes.
Remove foil during the last 20 minutes to allow the glaze to caramelize.
Bake until the ham is heated through and glossy.
Rest for 10–15 minutes before slicing.
- Use a fully cooked ham to reduce cooking time.
- Scoring helps the glaze penetrate the ham.
- Basting regularly enhances flavor and moisture.
- Let the ham rest before slicing for juicier results.
- Save pan drippings for extra glaze or gravy.
