Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tsp black tea leaves or 2 tea bags
  • 1-inch fresh ginger (crushed)
  • 3–4 cardamom pods
  • 1 small cinnamon stick
  • 3–4 whole cloves
  • 5–6 black peppercorns
  • 2–3 tsp sugar or honey (to taste)

Instructions
 

  • Bring water to a boil in a saucepan.
  • Add ginger, cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, and peppercorns.
  • Boil for 3–4 minutes to release the flavors.
  • Add tea leaves and simmer for 1–2 minutes.
  • Pour in milk and bring back to a gentle boil.
  • Add sugar or honey to your taste.
  • Strain into cups and serve hot.

Notes

  • Use fresh ginger for maximum heat and aroma.
  • Adjust peppercorns to control spiciness.
  • Whole spices give deeper flavor than powdered versions.
  • Replace milk with almond or oat milk if preferred.
  • Use Assam tea for a stronger, richer base.
