Hot Dog Pinecones are fun, crispy, and kid-friendly.They’re made by slicing hot dogs into a pinecone shape.Baked or air-fried until golden and crunchy.Perfect with ketchup, mustard, or cheesy dips.

Ingredients
  

  • 6–8 hot dogs
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
  • ½ tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • ½ tsp paprika or black pepper (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  • Slice each hot dog diagonally in overlapping cuts around the surface to resemble pinecone scales (do not cut all the way through).
  • Gently fan out the slices to enhance the pinecone shape.
  • Brush lightly with oil or butter and sprinkle with optional seasonings.
  • Bake for 18–22 minutes until the edges curl and turn golden.
  • Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauces.

Notes

  • Use thick hot dogs for best pinecone effect.
  • Cuts will open more as they bake.
  • Keep spacing between hot dogs for even crisping.
  • Seasonings are optional but add extra flavour.
  • Best served fresh and hot.
