For the Salmon
- 4 salmon fillets (sushi-grade or fresh)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Hot Honey Sauce
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 1–2 teaspoons chili flakes (adjust to taste)
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 clove garlic, minced
Prepare rice and keep it warm.
In a small pan, melt butter. Add garlic, honey, soy sauce, chili flakes, and vinegar. Simmer for 1–2 minutes until slightly thickened.
Season salmon with salt and pepper. Pan-sear in olive oil for 3–4 minutes per side until golden and cooked through.
Brush or drizzle hot honey sauce over salmon while still in the pan.
Add rice to bowls. Top with salmon, avocado, cucumber, carrots, and green onions.
Drizzle remaining hot honey sauce and sprinkle sesame seeds. Serve with lime wedges.
