Ingredients
  

  • 6 cups apple cider
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 4 whole cloves
  • 1 star anise
  • 2–3 slices fresh orange
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar or honey
  • Pinch of nutmeg
  • cranberry juice splash or ginger slices

Instructions
 

  • Pour apple cider into a saucepan.
  • Add cinnamon sticks, cloves, star anise, and orange slices.
  • Stir in brown sugar and nutmeg.
  • Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat.
  • Reduce heat and let it warm for 15–20 minutes.
  • Strain if desired and serve hot.
  • Garnish with a cinnamon stick or orange slice.
