For the Rolls:
- 1 large cabbage (leaves separated)
- 1 cup rice (partially cooked)
- 300 g ground beef or pork (or a mix)
- 1 onion (finely chopped)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 egg (optional, for binding)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp dried marjoram or oregano
For the Sauce:
- 2 cups tomato sauce
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- ½ cup broth or water
- 1 tsp sugar
- Salt and pepper to taste
Prepare cabbage leaves: Boil cabbage until leaves are soft and easy to separate. Set aside.
Prepare filling: In a bowl, combine ground meat, rice, onion, garlic, egg, and spices. Mix well.
Assemble rolls: Place filling onto each cabbage leaf and roll tightly, folding in the sides.
Add sauce: Pour a small amount of sauce into the Instant Pot.
Layer rolls: Arrange cabbage rolls in the pot and pour remaining sauce over them.
Pressure cook: Close lid and cook on HIGH pressure for 25 minutes.
Release pressure: Allow natural pressure release for 10 minutes, then quick release.
Serve: Carefully remove and serve warm.
