Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup water
  • ½ cup Irish stout or ale beer
  • ½ cup butter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1½ cups sharp cheddar cheese (shredded)
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  • In a saucepan, combine water, beer, and butter. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil.
  • Stir in the flour all at once and mix quickly until the dough forms a smooth ball.
  • Remove from heat and allow the dough to cool for about 5 minutes.
  • Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition until smooth.
  • Stir in shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, mustard powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the baking sheet, leaving space between each puff.
  • Bake for 20–25 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
  • Allow to cool slightly and serve warm with dipping sauce or mustard.
