- 1.5 kg corned beef brisket
- 1 medium cabbage (cut into wedges)
- 6 medium potatoes (peeled)
- 4 carrots (cut into chunks)
- 1 onion (quartered)
- 3 garlic cloves
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 teaspoon black peppercorns
- Salt to taste
Place corned beef in a large pot and cover with water.
