Ingredients
  

  • 1.5–2 lbs country-style pork ribs
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion (chopped)
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 cups crushed tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp sugar (optional, to balance acidity)
  • Fresh parsley or basil (for garnish)

Instructions
 

  • Season the ribs with salt and pepper.
  • Heat olive oil in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium-high heat.
  • Sear the ribs on all sides until nicely browned. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same pot, sauté onions until soft and translucent.
  • Add garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Pour in crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, and broth.
  • Stir in oregano, basil, chili flakes, and sugar (if using).
  • Stir occasionally and add more broth if needed.
