- 1 medium head red cabbage, shredded
- 2 medium apples, peeled and sliced
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 3 tbsp butter
- 1/3 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup sugar or honey
- 1/2 cup water or broth
- 1/2 tsp ground cloves or allspice
- Salt and pepper to taste
Heat butter in a large pot over medium heat.
Add onions and apples, sauté until softened.
Stir in shredded cabbage and cook for 5 minutes.
