Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups puffed rice (Murmura)
  • ½ cups roasted peanuts
  • ¼ cups finely chopped onions
  • ¼ cups finely chopped tomatoes
  • 1 green chili, finely chopped
  • ¼ cups boiled and chopped potatoes (optional)
  • 2 tbsp mustard oil
  • ½ tsp black salt
  • ½ tsp chaat masala
  • ½ tsp red chili powder
  • ½ tsp roasted cumin powder
  • 1 sev (optional, for extra crunch)
  • 1 finely chopped coriander leaves
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • ½ tsp finely chopped raw mango (optional, for tanginess)

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the Ingredients: Finely chop the onions, tomatoes, green chilies, potatoes, and coriander leaves.
  • Mix the Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, add the puffed rice, roasted peanuts, and sev.
  • Add the Seasonings: Sprinkle black salt, chaat masala, red chili powder, and roasted cumin powder over the mixture.
  • Incorporate Mustard Oil: Pour mustard oil over the puffed rice mix for an authentic Bengali flavor.
  • Add Vegetables: Mix in the chopped onions, tomatoes, green chilies, and boiled potatoes.
  • Final Touch: Add lemon juice and raw mango for extra tanginess.
  • Mix Well & Serve: Toss everything together quickly and serve immediately to maintain the crunch.

Notes

  • Use fresh and crispy puffed rice to get the best texture.
  • Mustard oil gives an authentic flavor, but you can use olive oil if preferred.
