- 2 cups puffed rice (Murmura)
- ½ cups roasted peanuts
- ¼ cups finely chopped onions
- ¼ cups finely chopped tomatoes
- 1 green chili, finely chopped
- ¼ cups boiled and chopped potatoes (optional)
- 2 tbsp mustard oil
- ½ tsp black salt
- ½ tsp chaat masala
- ½ tsp red chili powder
- ½ tsp roasted cumin powder
- 1 sev (optional, for extra crunch)
- 1 finely chopped coriander leaves
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- ½ tsp finely chopped raw mango (optional, for tanginess)
Prepare the Ingredients: Finely chop the onions, tomatoes, green chilies, potatoes, and coriander leaves.
Mix the Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, add the puffed rice, roasted peanuts, and sev.
Add the Seasonings: Sprinkle black salt, chaat masala, red chili powder, and roasted cumin powder over the mixture.
Incorporate Mustard Oil: Pour mustard oil over the puffed rice mix for an authentic Bengali flavor.
Add Vegetables: Mix in the chopped onions, tomatoes, green chilies, and boiled potatoes.
Final Touch: Add lemon juice and raw mango for extra tanginess.
Mix Well & Serve: Toss everything together quickly and serve immediately to maintain the crunch.
