1/2cupfruit preserves (apricot, raspberry, or your favorite)
Additional powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
Prepare the Dough:In a large bowl, beat the softened butter and cream cheese until smooth. Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, then mix until combined. Gradually add the flour and mix until a dough forms.
Chill the Dough:Shape the dough into a ball, wrap it in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Roll and Cut the Dough: On a floured surface, roll out the chilled dough to about 1/4-inch thickness. Use a round cookie cutter or a glass to cut out circles.
Add Filling:Place the circles on the prepared baking sheet. Add a small spoonful of fruit preserves to the center of each circle. Fold opposite edges over the filling, slightly overlapping.
Bake:Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
Cool and Dust:Let the pastries cool on a wire rack, then dust them with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
Ensure the dough remains cold for easier handling and better baking results.
