- 2 cloves garlic, finely minced
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
- 2 scallions, finely sliced
- 1 teaspoon salt, or according to taste
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce, optional

- 1 teaspoon Korean chili flakes (gochugaru)
- ½ teaspoon sugar, optional
Clean the Soybean Sprouts
Rinse the soybean sprouts thoroughly under cold running water.Remove any damaged or discolored sprouts if necessary
Boil the Water
Bring a large pot of water to a boil.Add a small pinch of salt if desired.
Cook the Sprouts
Add the soybean sprouts to the boiling water.Cook for approximately 3–5 minutes until the sprouts are tender but still slightly crisp.Avoid overcooking them.
Drain the Sprouts
Drain the cooked sprouts thoroughly in a colander.Allow any excess water to drain away.
Cool Slightly
Let the soybean sprouts cool for a few minutes.They can be seasoned while still slightly warm.
Prepare the Seasonings
Place the cooked sprouts in a large mixing bowl.Add the minced garlic, sesame oil, sliced scallions, sesame seeds, salt, and optional soy sauce.
Mix Gently
Using clean hands or tongs, gently toss the sprouts until evenly coated with the seasonings.Avoid crushing the sprouts.
Serve
