Ingredients
  

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced)
  • 1/2 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 2-3 lemons
  • 1 tbsp lemon zest
  • 1 tsp freshly ground black pepper (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 cup chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1 tsp honey or sugar (optional, for a touch of sweetness)
  • 1/4 tsp salt (or to taste)
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions
 

  • Melt the butter:
    In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter until it begins to foam.
  • Sauté the garlic:
    Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned.
  • Add the liquids:
    Pour in the lemon juice and broth, stirring well to combine.
  • Season:
    Stir in the lemon zest, black pepper, salt, and honey (if using). Allow the mixture to simmer for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened.
  • Taste and adjust:
    Taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning with additional salt or pepper if needed.
  • Finish and serve:
    Remove from heat and stir in fresh parsley if desired. Serve warm over your favorite dishes.
