- 1 tsp freshly ground black pepper (adjust to taste)
- 1/4 cup chicken or vegetable broth
- 1 tsp honey or sugar (optional, for a touch of sweetness)
- 1/4 tsp salt (or to taste)
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Melt the butter: In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter until it begins to foam. Sauté the garlic:Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned. Add the liquids: Pour in the lemon juice and broth, stirring well to combine. Season: Stir in the lemon zest, black pepper, salt, and honey (if using). Allow the mixture to simmer for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened. Taste and adjust: Taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning with additional salt or pepper if needed. Finish and serve: Remove from heat and stir in fresh parsley if desired. Serve warm over your favorite dishes.
