Linda’s Lasagna combines pasta, meat sauce, ricotta, and mozzarella, layered and baked until bubbly. It’s hearty, comforting, and a guaranteed crowd-pleaser.

- 12 lasagna noodles
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 lb Italian sausage
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cans (15 oz each) tomato sauce
- 1 can (6 oz) tomato paste
- 2 tsp Italian seasoning
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 1 large egg
- 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh basil or parsley for garnish
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Cook lasagna noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
In a skillet, brown beef, sausage, onion, and garlic. Drain excess fat.
Stir in tomato sauce, tomato paste, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 20 minutes.
In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, and half the Parmesan.
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Spread a layer of sauce in a baking dish.
Layer noodles, ricotta mixture, meat sauce, and mozzarella. Repeat layers.
Finish with noodles, sauce, mozzarella, and remaining Parmesan.
Cover with foil and bake for 40 minutes. Uncover and bake 20 minutes more until bubbly.
Rest for 15 minutes before slicing. Garnish with basil or parsley.
