  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

For the Toppings

  • 4 brioche or burger buns
  • 1 cup tzatziki sauce
  • 4 lettuce leaves
  • 1 large tomato, sliced
  • ½ cucumber, thinly sliced
  • ½ red onion, thinly sliced
  • Fresh parsley or dill

Instructions

  • Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Brush lightly with olive oil.
  • Cook each burger for 4–5 minutes per side, or until it reaches your preferred doneness.
  • Allow the burgers to rest for 5 minutes before assembling.
  • Slice the buns in half.
  • Toast them lightly on the grill or in a skillet until golden.
  • Spread tzatziki sauce on both halves of each bun.

Notes

  • Ground lamb provides a more authentic Greek flavor.
  • Avoid overmixing the meat to keep the burgers tender.
  • Use block feta for the freshest taste.
  • Homemade tzatziki offers the best flavor.
  • Toasting the buns improves texture.
  • Let the burgers rest before serving to retain their juices.
  • Leftover patties keep well for up to 3 days in the refrigerator.
  • These burgers can also be served in pita bread instead of buns.
