Ingredients
  

  • 5 cups mashed potatoes (fresh or leftover)
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 4 tbsp butter (melted)
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 6 slices bacon (cooked and crumbled)
  • 3 green onions (chopped)
  • Salt & black pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).In a large bowl, combine mashed potatoes, sour cream, milk, and melted butter.
  • Add garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth.
  • Stir in cheese, bacon, and green onions.Mix well to distribute evenly.
  • Grease a baking dish.Spread the potato mixture evenly into the dish.
  • Add optional topping: mix breadcrumbs with butter and sprinkle with extra cheese.
  • Bake for 30–35 minutes until hot and bubbly.
  • Broil for 2–3 minutes for a golden top (optional).
  • Let rest for a few minutes before serving.
