Ingredients
  

  • 1 bag frozen tater tots
  • 250 g ground beef or chicken
  • 1 packet taco seasoning (or homemade)
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ½ cup diced tomatoes
  • ¼ cup chopped onions
  • ¼ cup sliced olives (optional)
  • Fresh cilantro (for garnish)

Instructions
 

Prepare Tater Tot Cups

  • Preheat oven to 220°C (425°F).Place 3–4 tater tots in each cup of a greased muffin tin.Bake for 10 minutes until slightly softened.Remove and press down with a spoon to form cup shapes.

Cook Filling

  • In a pan, cook ground meat until browned.Add taco seasoning and water, simmer until thickened.

Assemble

  • Spoon the taco filling into each tater tot cup.Top with shredded cheese.

Bake Again

  • Return to oven and bake for 10–15 minutes until cheese melts and edges are crispy.

Garnish & Serve

  • Remove from oven and let cool slightly.Top with sour cream, tomatoes, onions, olives, cilantro, and jalapeños.Serve warm.
