Ingredients
  

  • 250 g ground pork or chicken
  • 1 cup finely chopped carrots
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped onions
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 20–25 lumpia wrappers
  • Oil for deep frying

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl, combine ground meat, carrots, onions, garlic, egg, soy sauce, salt, pepper, and sesame oil. Mix well.
  • Place one lumpia wrapper on a flat surface and add a spoonful of filling near one edge.
  • Roll tightly, folding in the sides, and seal the edge with a little water.
  • Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat.
  • Fry lumpia in batches until golden brown and crispy.
  • Remove and drain on paper towels. Serve hot with dipping sauce.

Notes

  • Lumpia wrappers are thinner than regular spring roll wrappers.
  • Filling should be finely chopped for even cooking.
  • Do not overfill to prevent bursting.
  • Keep unused wrappers covered to prevent drying.
  • Fry at medium heat for even browning.
