- 250 g ground pork or chicken
- 1 cup finely chopped carrots
- 2 tbsp finely chopped onions
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 20–25 lumpia wrappers
- Oil for deep frying
In a bowl, combine ground meat, carrots, onions, garlic, egg, soy sauce, salt, pepper, and sesame oil. Mix well.
Place one lumpia wrapper on a flat surface and add a spoonful of filling near one edge.
Roll tightly, folding in the sides, and seal the edge with a little water.
Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat.
Fry lumpia in batches until golden brown and crispy.
Remove and drain on paper towels. Serve hot with dipping sauce.
- Lumpia wrappers are thinner than regular spring roll wrappers.
- Filling should be finely chopped for even cooking.
- Do not overfill to prevent bursting.
- Keep unused wrappers covered to prevent drying.
- Fry at medium heat for even browning.
