mango mousse recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 2 ripe mangoes, peeled and diced
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 packet (2 tsp) unflavored gelatin
  • 3 tbsp water
  • Fresh mint leaves or mango slices for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Blend the diced mangoes in a blender until smooth to create mango puree.
  • In a small bowl, mix the gelatin with water and let it bloom for 5 minutes.
  • Heat the gelatin mixture gently until it dissolves completely. Allow it to cool slightly.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
  • Fold the mango puree and dissolved gelatin into the whipped cream gently until well combined.
  • Pour the mousse mixture into serving glasses or bowls.
  • Refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set.
  • Garnish with fresh mint leaves or mango slices before serving.

Notes

  • Choose ripe and sweet mangoes for the best flavor.
  • For a vegetarian version, use agar-agar instead of gelatin.
