Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (or a mix of beef and pork)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (for frying, optional)
  • 2 cup marinara sauce (optional, for serving)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) or heat a skillet over medium heat if pan-frying.
  • In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, egg, garlic, parsley, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and milk. Mix until well combined.
  • Roll the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them on a baking sheet or a plate if frying.
  • If baking, place meatballs on a lined baking sheet and bake for 18-20 minutes until golden brown.
  • If pan-frying, heat olive oil in a skillet and cook meatballs for 5-7 minutes per side until fully cooked.
  • If using marinara sauce, add cooked meatballs to the sauce and simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Serve warm with pasta, rice, or bread.

Notes

  • Use a mix of beef and pork for extra flavor.
  • If the meatball mixture is too wet, add more breadcrumbs.
  • For extra softness, soak the breadcrumbs in milk before mixing.
