Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups canned baked beans (or pork and beans)
  • 6 strips bacon (chopped)
  • 1 small onion (finely chopped)
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
  • In a pan, cook chopped bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same pan, sauté onions in bacon fat until soft.
  • In a large bowl, combine baked beans, brown sugar, barbecue sauce, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, and pepper.
  • Stir in cooked bacon and sautéed onions.
  • Transfer mixture to a baking dish.
  • Bake uncovered for 45–60 minutes until thick and bubbly.
  • Let rest for a few minutes before serving.

  • Adjust sugar based on sweetness preference.
  • Smoked paprika enhances the flavor.
