Ingredients
  

  • 12 mozzarella cheese sticks
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko preferred)
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1–2 tsp cayenne pepper (adjust heat)
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • Oil for frying

For Nashville Hot Oil:

  • ¼ cup hot oil from fryer
  • 1 tbsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder

Instructions
 

  • Freeze mozzarella sticks for at least 30 minutes until firm.
  • In one bowl, mix flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Place beaten eggs in a second bowl.
  • Add breadcrumbs and cayenne to a third bowl.
  • Dip each cheese stick into flour, then egg, then breadcrumbs.
  • Repeat egg and breadcrumb coating for extra crunch.
  • Freeze again for 10 minutes to prevent cheese from leaking.
  • Heat oil to 350°F (175°C).
  • Fry mozzarella sticks for 2–3 minutes until golden.
  • Serve immediately with ranch dressing.
