- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups cold milk
- 1 package (3.4 oz) instant vanilla or chocolate pudding mix
- 8 oz whipped topping (Cool Whip)
- Chocolate shavings or crushed Oreos for garnish (optional)
Step 1: Prepare the Oreo Crust
Crush the Oreo cookies in a food processor or place them in a sealed bag and crush with a rolling pin.
Reserve ¼ cup of crushed Oreos for topping.
Mix the remaining crushed Oreos with melted butter.
Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish.
Place in the refrigerator to chill while preparing the layers.
Step 2: Make the Cream Cheese Layer
In a mixing bowl, beat softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
Gently fold in 1 cup of whipped topping.
Spread this mixture evenly over the chilled Oreo crust.
Step 3: Prepare the Pudding Layer
In another bowl, whisk together cold milk and instant pudding mix until thickened.
Spread the pudding over the cream cheese layer.
Step 4: Add the Whipped Topping
- You can use Golden Oreos instead of regular Oreos for a vanilla version.
- Feel free to experiment with different pudding flavors like chocolate, butterscotch, or cookies and cream.
- For a firmer texture, let it chill overnight before serving.
