- 1 ½ Cups Rolled oats
- 1 Cup all-purpose flour1
- 1 Tbsp teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 Tbsp teaspoon salt
- 1 Tbsp teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 Cup unsalted buttersoftened
- 1/2 Cup brown sugar
- 1/4 Cup granulated sugar
- 2 Eggs
- 1 Tbsp vanilla extract
Gather the ingredients and preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a bowl, whisk together the rolled oats, all-purpose flour, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon. Set aside.
In a separate large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined. If desired, fold in your favorite add-ins, such as chocolate chips, raisins, or nuts.
Using a cookie scoop or spoon, drop rounded portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them a few inches apart to allow for spreading.
Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown around the edges. Allow them to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
