Ingredients
  

  • 2 large onions (yellow or sweet), sliced into thick rings
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk or buttermilk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • Vegetable oil, for frying

Instructions
 

  • Separate the onion slices into individual rings and set aside.
  • In a bowl, whisk together flour, salt, pepper, and paprika.
  • In another bowl, mix milk and egg until well combined.
  • Dip onion rings into the milk mixture, then coat evenly with the flour mixture.
  • Heat oil in a deep pan to 175°C (350°F).
  • Remove and drain on paper towels. Serve hot.
