Ingredients
  

  • 6 cups Rice Chex cereal
  • 2 cups Corn Chex cereal
  • 1 cup pretzels
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup light corn syrup
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp baking soda

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the dry ingredients: In a large bowl, combine Rice Chex, Corn Chex, pretzels, and mini marshmallows.
  • Make the caramel sauce: In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter, brown sugar, and corn syrup, stirring until smooth.
  • Add vanilla and baking soda: Remove from heat, stir in vanilla extract and baking soda. The mixture will bubble up.
  • Coat the cereal mix: Pour the caramel sauce over the Chex mixture, stirring gently to coat evenly.
  • Cool and set: Spread the mixture on a lined baking sheet and let cool for 10 minutes.
  • Break apart and serve: Once set, break into bite-sized pieces and enjoy!

Notes

  • Use salted butter for a slight salty balance to the sweetness.
  • For extra flavor, add a sprinkle of sea salt or drizzle with melted chocolate.
