- 12 fresh oysters, shucked
- 4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup red and green bell peppers, finely diced
- 1 tbsp shallots, minced
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp hot sauce
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/2 tsp lemon juice
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
- Rock salt for baking
Preheat the oven to broil and arrange a baking sheet with rock salt to stabilize the oysters.
Prepare the topping by mixing butter, bell peppers, shallots, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, lemon juice, black pepper, and parsley in a bowl.
Assemble the oysters by placing them on the prepared baking sheet. Spoon a small amount of the butter mixture over each oyster.
Add bacon and cheese, sprinkling evenly over the oysters.
Broil for 5-7 minutes or until the topping is golden and bubbly.
