  • 2 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • 2 garlic cloves, smashed
  • 1 sprig rosemary or thyme
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Pat chicken dry and season with salt and pepper.
  • Heat oil or butter in an oven-safe skillet.
  • Place chicken skin-side down, sear until golden brown (about 5–6 minutes).
  • Flip chicken, add garlic and herbs.
  • Transfer skillet to oven and roast for 15–18 minutes until cooked through.
  • Let rest 5 minutes, then serve with lemon wedges.
