  • Prepare batter: Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  • Add toppings: Fold in berries and optional chocolate chips.
  • Pour into dish: Spread the batter evenly in the prepared baking dish.
  • Bake: Bake for 22–25 minutes until the top is golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Serve: Dust with powdered sugar and drizzle with maple syrup before serving.
