Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter or oil
  • 1 cup cooked breakfast sausage, crumbled or sliced
  • Maple syrup (optional, for serving)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a mini muffin tin.
  • In a bowl, whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • In another bowl, mix milk, egg, and melted butter.
  • Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.

  • Spoon batter into muffin cups, filling about ¾ full.
  • Bake for 15–18 minutes until golden and set.
