Paneer Tikka Masala Recipe

Ingredients
  

For Paneer Tikka:

  • 250 gram paneer, cut into cubes
  • 1/2 cup yogurt
  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • Salt to taste

For Gravy:

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, pureed
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander for garnish

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl, mix yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice, and spices. Add paneer cubes and marinate for at least 10 minutes.
  • Heat oil in a pan and grill the paneer until golden brown on all sides. Set aside.
  • In another pan, heat butter and sauté cumin seeds until aromatic.
  • Add chopped onions and cook until golden brown.
  • Stir in tomato puree, turmeric, chili powder, and coriander powder. Cook until oil separates.
  • Add grilled paneer and mix well.
  • Pour in cream, water, and garam masala. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Garnish with fresh coriander and serve hot with naan or rice.

Notes

  • For extra smokiness, use a charcoal-smoking technique.
  • Adjust spice levels to taste.
