A delicious homemade Peach Crisp made with fresh peaches and a buttery oat crumble topping.

Ingredients
  

For the filling:

  • 6 fresh peaches, sliced (or 4 cups canned/frozen peaches, drained)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

For the topping:

  • 3/4 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
  • In a large bowl, combine sliced peaches, sugar, lemon juice, cornstarch, cinnamon, and vanilla extract. Stir well and transfer to the prepared baking dish.
  • In another bowl, mix oats, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
  • Pour melted butter over the oat mixture and stir until it becomes a crumbly texture.
  • Evenly sprinkle the topping over the peaches.
  • Bake for 35-40 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the peaches are bubbling.
  • Allow to cool for 10 minutes before serving.
  • Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.

Notes

  • For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free oats and flour.
  • You can substitute apples, berries, or pears for the peaches to make different fruit crisps.
