Ingredients
- 2 cans (15 ounces each) sliced peaches in light syrup
- 1 package (3 ounces) peach-flavored gelatin (Jello)
- 1 box (15.25 ounces) yellow cake mix
- ¾ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Pour the canned peaches, along with their syrup, evenly into the baking dish.
- Sprinkle the peach gelatin evenly over the peaches.
- Add vanilla extract and cinnamon, if using.
- Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix evenly over the fruit without stirring.
- Slowly drizzle the melted butter across the entire surface to moisten as much of the cake mix as possible.
- Sprinkle chopped pecans or walnuts over the top if desired.
- Bake for 45–50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the peach filling is bubbling around the edges.
- Allow the cake to cool for 10–15 minutes before serving warm.
