Ingredients

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ½ cup chopped roasted peanuts (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch pie dish or springform pan.
  • In a large mixing bowl, beat the peanut butter, softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and creamy.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips and chopped peanuts, if using.
  • Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pie dish and smooth the top.
  • Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center is just set.
  • Allow the pie to cool for 10–15 minutes before slicing.
  • Serve warm with vanilla ice cream and your favorite toppings.

Notes

  • Natural peanut butter may produce a denser pie.
  • Do not overmix the batter to keep the pie tender.
  • Slightly underbake for an extra gooey center.
  • Let the pie cool briefly before slicing.
  • Use high-quality chocolate chips for the best flavor.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container.
  • Reheat slices for a warm, freshly baked taste.
