Peeps Sunflower Cake
A delightful Peeps Sunflower Cake featuring chocolate cake, yellow frosting, and marshmallow Peeps arranged in a sunflower design.
Ingredients
- 1 box chocolate cake mix (plus ingredients required on the box)
- 1 cup butter (softened)
- 4 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Yellow food coloring
- 1 package yellow Peeps marshmallow chicks
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
- Prepare and bake the chocolate cake according to package instructions. Let it cool completely.
- In a mixing bowl, beat butter until creamy. Gradually add powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla, mixing until smooth.
- Add yellow food coloring and mix until the frosting reaches a sunflower-yellow shade.
- Spread the yellow frosting evenly over the cooled cake.
- Arrange the Peeps marshmallow chicks around the edge of the cake, forming sunflower petals.
- Fill the center of the cake with chocolate chips to resemble sunflower seeds.
- Serve and enjoy!
