For the Filling:
- 250 g ground pork or chicken
- 1 cup finely chopped napa cabbage
- 2 spring onions, finely chopped
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp white or black pepper
For the Dumplings:
- 25–30 round dumpling wrappers
- 2 tbsp oil
- ½ cup water
For the Dipping Sauce:
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- ½ tsp sesame oil
- Chili oil (optional)
In a bowl, mix all filling ingredients until well combined.
Place a spoonful of filling in the center of a dumpling wrapper.
Moisten edges with water, fold, and pleat to seal.
Heat oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat.
Arrange dumplings flat-side down and cook until bottoms turn golden brown.
Carefully add water, cover, and steam for 5–7 minutes until cooked through.
Remove lid and cook uncovered until water evaporates and bottoms are crisp.
Serve hot with dipping sauce.
