Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups water
  • 1 cup fresh pineapple chunks (or 1/2 cup pineapple juice)
  • 2 black tea bags (or green tea bags for a lighter flavor)
  • 1 cinnamon stick (optional)
  • 2 tbsp honey or sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tsp lemon juice (optional)
  • Fresh mint leaves (for garnish, optional)

Instructions
 

  • Boil the Water:
    In a medium-sized pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
  • Add Pineapple:
    Add the fresh pineapple chunks or pineapple juice to the boiling water. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Infuse the Tea:
    Add the tea bags and cinnamon stick (if using) to the pot. Let it steep for 5 minutes.
  • Sweeten the Tea:
    Remove the pot from heat and stir in honey or sugar to taste. Add lemon juice for a hint of tanginess if desired.
  • Strain and Serve:
    Strain the tea into cups and serve hot, or let it cool and pour over ice for a refreshing cold drink.
  • Garnish:
    Garnish with fresh mint leaves for an added touch of freshness.

Notes

Use fresh pineapple for the best flavor, but canned pineapple can be a convenient substitute. Adjust the sweetness to your liking.
