Ingredients
  

  • 1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling
  • 1 can (20 oz) crushed pineapple, drained
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup whipped cream (or Cool Whip)
  • 1 package (3 oz) strawberry gelatin powder
  • Optional: Chopped nuts for garnish

Instructions
 

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cherry pie filling and drained crushed pineapple.
  • Sprinkle the strawberry gelatin powder over the mixture and stir until well blended.
  • Fold in the whipped cream gently to keep the mixture light and fluffy.
  • Add the mini marshmallows and mix until evenly distributed.
  • Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
  • Serve cold, garnished with chopped nuts if desired.

Notes

  • Make sure to drain the pineapple thoroughly to avoid making the dessert too watery.
  • For a tangier version, you can add a dollop of sour cream to the mixture.
