- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 mini pretzel buns
- 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
- 6 slices cheddar cheese (cut in half)
- 1 cup crispy fried onions
- 2 tbsp butter (melted)
- Optional: pickles, jalapenos for garnish
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a bowl, combine ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. Mix until well combined.
Form the beef mixture into 12 small patties.
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the patties for 3-4 minutes per side until fully cooked.
Slice the pretzel buns in half and place the bottom halves on a baking sheet.
Place a cooked beef patty on each bun, add a spoonful of barbecue sauce, a half-slice of cheddar cheese, and a handful of crispy fried onions.
Cover with the top half of the buns and brush with melted butter.
Bake in the preheated oven for 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and buns are warm.
Serve immediately with optional garnishes like pickles or jalapenos.
