- 8 oz Velveeta cheese, cubed (or your favorite meltable cheese)
- 1/2 cup cup salsa (mild or spicy, depending on your preference)
- 1 tbsp sour cream (optional for added creaminess)
- 1/4 cup milk (adjust for consistency)
- 1 tsp chili powder (optional for added spice)
- Tortilla chips or veggies for dipping
In a medium saucepan, combine the Velveeta cheese and salsa.
Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the cheese is fully melted.
Add the milk a little at a time, stirring constantly until you reach your desired dip consistency.
Stir in chili powder, if using, and sour cream for extra creaminess.
Serve the dip warm with tortilla chips, fresh veggies, or crackers for dipping.
- For a spicier kick, add diced jalapeƱos or use spicy salsa.
- You can substitute Velveeta with any cheese that melts well, like cheddar or Monterey Jack.
- If the dip thickens too much, add a splash more milk to adjust the consistency.
- Keep the dip warm in a slow cooker for parties to ensure it stays melted and smooth.
- If you want a more chunky version, leave out the milk and add more salsa or cooked ground beef.
