  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch

Cobbler Batter

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Mix peaches, sugars, lemon juice, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cornstarch in a large bowl.
  • Pour melted butter into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • In another bowl, whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and milk until smooth.
  • Pour batter evenly over the melted butter. Do not stir.
  • Carefully spoon the peach mixture over the batter without mixing.
  • Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbling.
  • Allow the cobbler to cool for 10–15 minutes before serving.
